The Lowell Christmas will be held the Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 4:00 pm. The parade route starts at the Larry K. Morrow Bridge on N. Main Street and ends at the First Baptist Church of Lowell, 400 West First Street, Lowell.

Parade Registration

The Lowell Christmas Parade is the perfect opportunity to highlight your business or organization to our community and highlight the team you work with! There is no cost to participate. Parade registration opens October 8, 2025.

Artisan Market Registration

The Lowell Christmas Artisan Market is looking for unique, handmade goods — from cozy knits and festive décor to gourmet treats and one-of-a-kind gifts — we want to hear from you! Artisan Market registration opens October 8, 2025 until full. Please email anixon@lowellnc.com to request an application. Limited spots available due to space.

PARADE GUIDELINES
Please read and agree to all of the parade guidelines below:

Participation is free.
No organizations or individuals will be permitted to ask for or accept donations of any kind during the parade.
Parade participants must follow parade personnel and police direction.

Line-Up: All parade participants must arrive on December 6 between 1:00pm - 3:15pm at the line-up location. Roads will begin closing at 3:15pm.

The City of Lowell will provide a Santa for the Parade. Other Santas are not allowed.

Candles, fire, or open flame on any entrant is prohibited.

The Lowell Christmas Parade is a family-friendly event for all ages, and every entry in the parade is expected to respect this.

Parade officials reserve the right to restrict, limit, or reject (at any time including during the parade) any entry that in the sole determination of parade officials is inflammatory, controversial, upsetting, and/or construed as hate-filled or does not abide by the rules and regulations.

The parade will be held rain, shine, snow, or cold.
For entries with multiple participants, we recommend carpooling, when possible, due to limited parking.

For the safety of observers, candy and promotional materials are not allowed to be thrown from a moving vehicle. Candy and promotional materials must be handed out by walkers.
Parade Agreement and Indemnification * Required
I agree to the Parade Agreement and Indemnification.
The Entrant, by his authorized signature below, hereby agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the City of Lowell, its elected and appointed officials, employees, agents and successors in interest from all claims, damages, losses and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising out of or resulting, directly or indirectly, from the Entrant’s participation in the Lowell Christmas Parade, provided that such claim, damage, loss or expenses is injury no caused by grossly negligent act of omission, or willful misconduct of the City of Lowell, its elected and appointed officials, of its employees acting within the scope of their employment. This Hold Harmless and Indemnification Clause shall in no way be limited by any financial responsibility or insurance requirements and shall survive the termination of this Parade Entry Form. The Entrant understands that any misrepresentation in this application, deviation from the final approved specifications and activities described herein, or failure to abide by all Federal, State and Local laws, ordinances, policies and procedures may result in the immediate revocation of this approved Parade Permit and refusal to issue a permit in the future. The Entrant, by his authorized signature below, hereby authorizes the City and/or its designee(s) to take photographs, videotape, record, or produce communications for this and/or future events for publicity, promotion, and media coverage.
